1) What is henna?

Henna comes from crushed leaves of the plant Lawsonia inermis, also known as henna tree. It is a temporary body art that stains the skin from the dyes. Henna will last approximately 1-3 weeks based on the aftercare, which is very important for darkest henna stain. The stain will gradually darken over the course of 48 hours due to oxidation. It will stain orange to brown color. It is been used to adorn bodies as a part of celebrations as well as for fun and beauty. Originally it was just used to cool down body temperatures in summer which later turned into intricate designs.

2) What is white henna?

It is not henna, but just body paint which will last only for 2-3 days and it will not stain the skin.

3) What is jagua henna?

Jagua henna comes from the Genipa Americana fruit tree that grows in south America. The stain is a deep blue- black color which is similar to the tattoos.

4) Is getting henna done painful?

No! Henna designs are done using henna paste which is similar to decorating sugar cookies or a cake.

5) How long does the application process take?

Time completely depends on the intricacy and length of the designs and it varies from 5 minutes for simple designs to 4-6 hours for complete bridal designs.

6) Do I make my henna cones?

Yes, henna cones are made fresh each time which are 100% organic and are chemical free. I personally mix each batch, blending organic henna powder with sugar and essential oils.
