About the Artist

I am a professional henna artist that serves Kansas City and beyond. Henna has helped me express myself through my drawings and it also helps me build and cultivate relationships. I enjoy finding new ways to take my art to the next level by learning new art styles and techniques.  I strive to create unique and personalized designs that will accentuate any event.

I only use 100% organic freshly hand made henna cones, which contain henna powder, sugar, water, lemon juice, and essential oils (lavender and eucalyptus). I also sell freshly made henna cones, jagua cones, henna powder, and pre cut cello wrap.

Charity is very important to me.  My way of giving back is to design and draw unique henna crowns for cancer patients going through chemo at no charge.

About the Art

Henna is also known as mehndi, which has been used for years across many nations.  Traditionally henna was used to cool down body temperatures during hot summer days but now delicate intricate designs are created for various occasions. Henna plant (also known as Lawsonia inermis),  leaves are dried and crushed into powder which is later mixed with water, lemon juice, sugar, and essential oils to make silky, smooth paste.  After applying the paste it needs to stay on the skin atleast 3-6 hours and sometimes overnight, this is when the dye is safely absorbed into the skin. When removed the color gradually gets dark and takes about 48 hours for the stain to develop.

Henna has been since used to color hair and fingernails. Henna is a temporary tattoo that last 1-3 weeks based on the aftercare and how well the body absorbs the dye.
